BluePearl Specialty +Emergency Pet Hospital in Avondale, is looking for a full-time Ultrasound Technologist to join our talented team. Join us in our continued growth and passion for remarkable care for pets.

As a Veterinary Ultrasound Technologist, you will operate sonographic equipment to capture images for interpretation. You will partner with our Internal Medicine and Emergency teams to coordinate and perform ultrasound image capture for a radiologist to interpret and provide a diagnosis.

As a Veterinary Ultrasound Technologist at BluePearl, you will:

• Perform Ultrasounds of all modalities digitally and send them to Radiologist for interpretation

• Communicate any necessary information to the radiologist

• Review patient history and other supporting data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results

• Refer urgent or unusual cases to the referring clinician or appropriate staff that needs immediate attention

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, supervisory staff, and peers

• Compassionately, calmly, and gently approach and handle patients

• Approach and handle patients according to safety protocols and core values

• Reconcile, acquire, and process images in the PACS settings

• Have the ability to work independently and have sound problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

• A.S. Degree required. B.S preferred

• Veterinary Ultrasound certificate program or certificate in diagnostic medical sonography preferred (RVMS) or Certificate program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

• Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation/or, accredited radiology program or equivalent

• Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologists or equivalent
