Cost Analyst

Responsibilities include:

  • Supports Special Projects mandated by PEO, Army, & OSD.
  • Develops and maintains Program Office Estimates (POEs).
  • Prepares supporting documentation for Milestone Decision Reviews.
  • Develops Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) to support program management needs.
  • Prepares cost inputs for Program Objectives Memoranda (POM), Budget Estimate Submissions (BES) requirements, UFRs and other budget cycle estimates.
  • Prepares cost inputs for Selected Acquisition Report (SAR), MAIS Annual Report (MAR), Smart Charts, contract evaluations and other programmatic documentation required.
  • Supports P&R chart development.
  • Tracks Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) with suppliers
  • Provides input to Staff Action Control Office (SACO) taskers.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferably industrial engineering, but will consider other degrees with at least 24 hours of calculus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cost estimating experience in a Project Office environment.
  • Active Secret level security clearance
  • Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.
  • Experience preparing IGCEs.
  • Experience using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) and Excel to develop cost estimates.
  • Familiarity with Army Acquisition Process
  • Knowledge and skill in the application of policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of costing
  • Multitasking in a face paced environment.
