Summary/Objective

Core Molding Technologies Inc., a publicly traded company on the NYSE Amex (ticker CMT) headquartered in Columbus, Ohio with six plants across the United States, Mexico and Canada, is seeking a Cost Analyst to join the company’s Accounting/Finance team. The team is primarily responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis to enable the Company’s leadership to make key decisions. The team aims to deliver high quality, relevant, timely and accurate financial and non-financial information to enable key decision making and strategic direction. This role will work directly with Sales and Marketing and Operations to create and improve analysis to the Company’s leadership team to make decisions related to pricing, costing and capital.

Essential Functions

· Prepare Raw Material Adjustments for Customers

· Assist in quote review to ensure appropriate standard costs and rates are utilized

· Prepare Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations and analysis to prioritize capital spending

· Prepare customer pricing analytics and participate in customer pricing decisions

· Continuously evaluate tasks and processes for opportunities for improvement

· Assist in creation of complex business modeling of acquisition opportunities

· Assist with special projects that support corporate, global and local finance initiatives

· Support ad-hoc budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning analysis

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports, but will be working with Plant Controllers and Corporate Senior Accountants.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional manufacturing office and shop floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may occasionally require extended hours and/or weekend work.

Travel

This role may be asked from time to time to visit manufacturing locations.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

· 5 years of experience in finance or related field

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to routinely interact with executive leadership

· Hands on, can do attitude, results orientated, highly organized, detail-oriented with an ability to navigate complex, deadline driven processes

· Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Experience

· 5 years of experience setting standard rates and updating material costs

· Financial modeling and forecasting experience
