The Corporate and Travel Industry Sales Manager: is an important member of our Sales Team and requires an individual that is driven, personable and outgoing. The Sales Manager will work with an established base of accounts which focus on Corporate Preferred partnerships and travel industry related key accounts, active accounts as well as prospects. Conducting sales calls to retail offices, corporate accounts, trade shows and call center presentations will be required as a part of executing action plans, negotiating rates/ contracts and closing.

The Corporate & Travel Industry Manager reports to the Regional Director of Sales and is responsible for soliciting and securing partnerships and agreements within the Corporate, Consortia, Wholesale, & FIT markets. This role is instrumental in increasing corporate and travel industry market room revenue by adding new accounts, growing production of existing accounts; implementing and executing programs for special corporate/preferred corporate transient sales.

Objective: This position would be focused on growing our transient market share in the special corporate, extended stay, leisure and wholesale segments. Which include the following:
  • Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with national & local companies as well as the travel industry as a whole.
  • Knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices
  • Ability to drive strategies that increase overall revenue in the Transient Market
  • Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures
  • Maximize revenue by upselling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy the internal and external customer
  • Organizational skills – ability to multi task, keep detailed documentation of customers and clearly communicate these to various departments on property
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
