General Summary
  • Coordinates veteran services and assists students with scheduling courses.

Major Duties
  • Assists students with the process of establishing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs benefits. Verifies that the appropriate paperwork is completed. Provides on-going assistance to Veterans Affairs students.


  • Reports enrollment, tuition, fees and grades for students receiving Veterans Affairs benefits in compliance with established Veterans Affairs deadlines and procedures. Monitors enrollment and reports changes to the veterans affairs. Completes enrollment and benefit verifications as required by the individual military branches.

  • Coordinates with various offices on campus, including Accounts Receivable, College of Aviation and Financial Aid to ensure a smooth process for students receiving veterans affairs benefits.

  • Assists with other records and functions, including grade changes, imaging, answering phone calls and responding to emails. Ensures Family Educational Right and Privacy Act guidelines are followed and information released is accurate and current.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Some college coursework from an accredited institution.


  • One year’s relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with VA systems and policies.
