    • Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
    • Pay Rate: $16.00/Hour

Responsibilities:
When it comes to what you’ll do as a Coordinator at UCP, here’s what to expect:
  • Plan instruction & group activities focusing on developing functional, communication and social / recreational skills through activities.
  • Develop weekly schedules for our staff and participants which an emphasis on participant skill development, personal interests, and community interaction.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Program Plans.
  • Provide information and assist participants in self-advocacy and decision making about living, work, and social relationships.
  • Help the participants in identifying their needs for community supports, and work with the participants informal support system to initiate community connections.
  • Research, develop, and maintain information community, and other resources relevant to the needs of participants.
Qualifications:
What we’re looking for in a Coordinator at UCP:
Minimum requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license and 6 months of previous driving experience
  • Access to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required.
  • 6 Months previous Caregiving, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker Experience
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English

Preferred, but not required
  • Associates Degree, or technical certification preferred.
  • 2 Years or more of previous Caregiving, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker experience
  • Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and/or the aging population
While performing the duties of this position, a Coordinator at UCP will:
  • Continuously express and exchange ideas
  • Communicate with others
  • Apply visual acuity less than 20 inches, apply visual acuity greater than 20 feet
  • Frequently sit, stand, walk, twist, move 1-10 pounds, move 11-50 pounds
  • Occasionally move greater than 50 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach above shoulders, work outdoors
  • Rarely climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, use a computer, and apply visual depth perception and field of vision (if vehicle driving duties assigned).
