Pay: $22 per hour


Benefits:

New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 60 days of service.


POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Communications Coordinator supports internal homeowner communication, and marketing research and campaigns for IronOaks at Sun Lakes. This position also supports the Concierge department and is responsible for welcoming members and guests and responding to their needs while working at the front desk and/or entrance to the club. This position reports to the Director of Communications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
  • Create a productive and enjoyable work environment to inspire, motivate, and lead by example, with an intention to recognize team member performance.
  • Support public relations with all business areas
  • Support media relations within the community
    • Club information, sporting events, games, events, etc.
  • Support online initiatives including web content and social media
    • Maintain documents online
    • Maintain calendar
    • Maintain Food & Beverage specials
    • Ensure all content, including photos is refreshed on a quarterly basis
  • Develop and maintain a video schedule with Food & Beverage, recreation and sports, and club opportunities.
  • Develop a user-friendly online structure for HOA documents.
  • Manage multiple concurrent assignments, including creative design and planning, project development, and client support.
  • Be aware of relevant market research studies and findings, and support marketing projects based on results.
  • Copywriting for online and print marketing materials including, internal projects, events, web copy, social posts and other content as required.
  • Manage and prepare creative for TruDigital screens throughout the community.
  • Support the business-to-consumer social media presence for the experiences within the Club amenity portfolio.
  • Support the development of collateral and quality-assure the brand materials.
  • Provide guests and members with information, including a variety of quality choices and arrangements regarding the Club, recreation, or other activities; must have extensive knowledge of the Club and local area events.
  • Maintain daily standard operating procedures for the opening and closing of the Club, including a walk through the Clubhouse for a general inspection to assure the rooms are clean, set up properly, and visually meet Clubhouse standards.
  • Support all the amenity departments for a consistent member communication experience.
  • Provide administrative and general office support.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Web Content, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field required.
  • One to three years of related experience and/or training, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Fluency in social media management and strategy.
  • Strong video and photography skills.
  • Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Content management platforms required; basic knowledge of HTML preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Adobe Suite, email delivery, surveys social media, public relations systems, photography and video skills, etc.
  • Effective writing and proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations, and keep current with trends in consumer marketing.
  • Ability to understand the consumer more fully via primary and secondary research methods.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Must be creative and innovative and willing to work with existing standards and procedures.
  • Must have problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.

  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in both a professional indoor office environment, as well as outdoors. There is routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the indoor work environment is usually moderate. The noise level in the outdoor work environment is usually moderate but can be high depending on the event.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is very active and may require standing and walking for the duration of a shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk or be able to move around the office space, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
