St. Luke’s Health System in Nampa is seeking Cooks to join our Food and Nutrition team!


Variable shifts so must be flexible

The Cook 1, under direct supervision, prepares food in accordance with culinary techniques,

standardized recipes and quantities.


Wage - $15-17+ depending upon applicable experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and cooks foods according to recipe standards utilizing basic culinary techniques. Prepares food ensuring that strict safety standards are followed.
  • Determines food quantities and requirements needed and plans maximum utilization of ingredients, food and leftovers.
  • Plans, pulls and preps ingredients as needed.
  • Adheres to all food hygiene and health and safety requirements in order to meet regulatory and company standards.
  • May order and stock inventory for the department.
  • Resolves routine questions, issues and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
