Hiring Convenience Store Manager at the Hiawatha, KS convenience store location!

Berwick Coop Oil Co. is one of the oldest and longest operating businesses in Sabetha, Kansas, offering a wide variety of diesel, gasoline, fuel oil products, propane, and propane storage offerings.

The Convenience Store Manager will manage the day-to-day operation of their assigned store(s). This includes providing excellent customer service, overseeing staff, customer transactions, maintaining a clean and well-stocked store, and overseeing up-to-date and accurate inventory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Foster an environment of excellent customer service – with an equal focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete inventory control, product ordering, and merchandising activities.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports as established by management - identify and control losses.
• Ensure regular and timely schedules are distributed for the C-Store staff
• Approve time cards and submit them for payroll processing in a timely fashion.
• Assist with hiring and training new store clerks, provides performance feedback, and coach employees.
• Perform customer check out using point of sale system.
• Ensure that workstations, equipment, and gas station equipment are clean and sanitized and establish a rotational schedule for cleaning measures where appropriate.
• Practice and promote all safety and sanitation practices and complies with all applicable regulations and standards.
• Effectively communicate with customers, employees, and management.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience related experience and/or training – or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Cash handling experience is required
• Customer service experience is required
• Ability to take ownership of customer issues and bring them to resolution creating customer advocates
• Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 40 pounds
