Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) Franklin Park, IL 60131

This position monitors and improves the control system reliability of automated production equipment. When production system performance falls below acceptable levels, they must support troubleshooting efforts to avoid or minimize interruptions to production. A successful control technician has a keen eye for details and good mechanical aptitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and production equipment troubleshooting.
  • Monitors significant plant downtime events and provide or coordinate assistance as necessary.
  • Support implementation and improvement of existing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Supports equipment installation coordination/supervision associated with department project assignments.
  • Support locating replacement and upgrade hardware, as needed.
  • Working in a team environment

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to produce and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Basic computer proficiency, such as data entry and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices around moving and electrical equipment.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting.

Education and Experience:

  • Highschool diploma
  • Degree from technical school, or industrial maintenance certifications (PLC, Machine Logic, etc)
  • Prior experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment

Equipment Used:

  • Typical maintenance and engineering field tools.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Noise level may be high at times.

Travel Requirement:

  • Travel to other locations for training, this is minimal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
