Controller (FT) Job at Well Dunn Catering
Well Dunn Catering is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee our growing accounting department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger.
- Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure company performance.
- Produce the annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences to management.
- Create reports that help senior leadership with financial analysis.
- Work with tax accountants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to manage team members effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with contract and deposit schedules.
- Experience with CaterXpert and/or PlateIQ is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is required.
- Five (5) years or more of related experience is required.
- Experience or interest in hospitality/food is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on a computer.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (potential for flex schedule)
Compensation:
- $125,000 - $150,000 BOE
