We are seeking a Controller for an established Syracuse area manufacturing plant. As a Controller, you will be an integral part of the management team – providing accurate financials and establishing internal controls, as well as overseeing all Accounting functions for the facility.
This organization is very stable and offers a competitive salary and benefits. A hybrid / flexible work schedule is also available.
Salary range is $120-160K
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Payroll and Cash Management
- Prepare monthly financial package.
- Reconcile all general ledger accounts, including bank account reconciliations.
- Verify proper disbursements of funds during the reconciliation process
- Monitor and control working capital as well as identifying and implementing improvements
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
- Document and maintain written internal controls and procedures for financial reporting. Make recommendations for changes as needed
- Calculate and report monthly cash forecasts and cash requirements and prepare daily treasury reporting and maintenance of bank accounts
Qualifications Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5-8+ years progressively responsible accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years as a Plant Controller preferred
- CPA a strong plus
- SAP experience highly desired and must be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
