As the Continous Improvement Specialist for Strategic Sourcing, you'll focus on Continuous Improvement throughout all aspects of Procurement. You’ll lead projects to help deliver on key performance indicators for the business and deliver results across all regions of the company. Working out of our Global headquarters in Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL you’ll work hand in hand with our category managers to provide direct support for our strategic sourcing.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Champion Strategic Sourcing – Support category managers with strategic sourcing through coaching and training. Ensure key stakeholder engagement and adherence to the process. Your world-class analytical and interpersonal skills will help you provide leadership and direction to cross-regional procurement groups.
  • Thinking Critically – Foresee potential business or technical issues within the projects and proactively address them. With the capacity to think several steps ahead, you’ll ensure contingency plans are available from each respective business partner as required.
  • Overseeing the Business – Provide oversight and governance to Procurement metrics to ensure they meet or exceed targets and are managed accordingly. Work with leaders to ensure corrective actions are in place and addressed. With a thoughtful approach, you’ll drive us toward the future with confidence.
  • Developing the Future – you will be responsible for developing and implementing the global procurement capability program (including facilitation and training).
  • Focusing on Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) – Identify, develop and implement best practices to help us drive continuous improvement programs. Using your critical thinking abilities, you’ll manage the global procurement scorecard (OGSM). Ensuring each leader has visibility to their performance while providing the expertise that enables you to improve processes across functions, correct problems, and ultimately improve performance.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


  • Highschool diploma or GED with significant work experience or bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Procurement Sourcing or Strategy Enabling experience
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Experience using Change Management Principles and Practices
  • Experience with broad managerial, functional service/project experience, and continuous improvement or operations management
  • Practical experience with Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) or similar Continuous Improvement program
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office – PowerApps, Power-BI, SharePoint Online, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and deep Excel skills
