Reedsburg Area Medical Center is hiring a Continuing Education Coordinator to join our team!

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Hours per week: 30


Position Summary
:

The Continuing Education Coordinator assists with managing the learning management system (LMS), and coordinating staff education within the organization. This role continually assists with the management and organization of employee training, orientation and education files, and other tasks as deemed necessary related to the job description.


Job Relationships:

Reports to Director of Education and works in collaboration with members of the Education Department and organization.


Primary Customer Served:

RAMC employees.

No direct patient care.


Education and Training Required:

Associate Degree or higher preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent


Experience:

Coordination and planning of schedules.

Healthcare related experience preferred.

Working with minimal supervision.

Organizing and maintaining files.


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of audiovisual and computer equipment.

Ability to work efficiently with people.

Proficient keyboarding skills.

Competent in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Frequently walks to distribute documents and to meet with other staff.

Occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds of materials such as paper files, books, journals and manuals.

Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds of equipment needed for training/classes.

Occasionally pushes or pulls with up to 10 pounds of force when moving carts and other equipment.

Occasionally pushes or pulls with up to 25 pounds of force when moving equipment for training/classes.

Occasionally carries up to 25 pounds (excluded for CPOE Educator).

Occasionally requires lifting overhead for paper, supplies, books and manuals.

Frequently requires using fine motor skills for operation of computer/keyboard, copier and telephone equipment.


Sight:

Continuously provide visual acuity with correction to 20/40 to read written and computer information.


Cognition/Communication:

Frequently required to communicate effectively with other staff, physicians, volunteers and customers using hearing skills, comprehensive speech, complex writing and reading skills.

Frequently communicates utilizing various methods available: telephone, paging, email, print or in person.

Frequently requires recognizing medical terminology.

Frequently uses complex math skills for training of medication calculations, data analysis and/or invoicing and budget purposes.


Environmental Conditions:

Continuously work indoors.


Potential Hazards:

OSHA Blood Borne/TB Classification Class II – Occupational exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs) is not reasonably expected to occur in routine performance duties.
