We are actively seeking a Vice - President to serve as the Portfolio Risk Execution and Controls lead within Consumer Risk. You will be responsible for control activities that play an integral part in Card's Credit Policy and Framework. You will bring a seasoned view of Credit Risk policies and standards, manage the change management activities and controls across several Portfolio strategies. This exciting opportunity gives you a key leadership position to own risk policies and liaison between multiple product owners and support groups to deliver the highest standards while maintaining safe and sound business practices.

As a Vice-President of Portfolio Risk Strategy Execution within the Card Risk COO organization, you will partner with Risk, Operations, Product Owners, Legal/Compliance, and other impacted groups to manage operational readiness, cross business impacts and overall awareness of strategy changes. Responsibilities include leading the execution of Card & Risk strategy changes contributing to the program lifecycle including planning, elaboration, requirements, impact assessments and validation planning. Through Pre / Post Implementation validations you will ensure strategy changes meet objectives while raising and resolving issues in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing business risks and developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead Risk's Portfolio Execution and Control responsibilities across several strategies including Credit Line Increase, Credit Authorizations, and Promotional Offer strategies
  • Manage business risks and develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiencies
  • Ensure that all relevant process adherence and strong control practices are followed . Manage critical issues with escalation protocols to resolve production issues
  • Oversee / create intakes and requirements to implement ongoing strategy opportunities and risk rules to meet various new products / offers. Design, develop and maintain automated solutions for effective business validations & controls
  • Manage business risks and develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiencies . Ensure that all relevant process adherence and strong control practices are followed
  • Liaison with Product Owners and Operations management. Manage small team of 2 - 3 Risk associates

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Bachelors or master's degree in quantitative / related field preferred
  • 5+ years in a leadership role in Credit Risk, Operations and/or Lending
  • Proven ability to build strong business partnerships and relationships . Successfully manage to tight timelines for complex deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, drive results and influence change across the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication / presentation. A solid foundation and understanding of business processes and risk policies. Knowledge of consumer credit and lending regulatory standards preferred
  • Experience in leading initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups (e.g. Lending Ops, Marketing, and Risk strategy. Strong client relationship skills. Key interactions will be with Card's CRO, Product Owners, Operations Management, Legal, and Compliance
  • Track record of positively influencing change, delivering business results, and providing creative solutions for business challenges . Experience managing direct reports
