The role:
Running multiple large IT Asset Management (ITAM) managed services engagements and one-off ITAM projects of a complex nature. Proactively identifying client-facing team activities and ensuring high quality delivery while also executing consultancy design and implementation activities. Advising clients on maturing their ITAM program and delivering executive-level analysis, promoting Return on Investment (ROI) past results and future opportunities. While the core of the consulting may be Software Asset Management, Senior Consultants are also expected to cross over into SaaS Management, FinOps, and Hardware Asset Management activities.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates small and mid-size client-facing project teams
  • Promotes quality deliverables, effectively levering and educating lower skilled personnel
  • Finds opportunities for continuous improvement (including automation of repeatable tasks)
  • Serve as a motivating role model and maintains the ability to coach less experienced team members in larger and more complex ITAM activities
  • Right sizing & customization of non-standardized services
  • Applies general principles of IT Industry Standards (ITIL, Six Sigma)
  • Advises on global best practices, policies and procedures
  • Proactively identifies work needed to advance customer maturity and provides next steps
  • Demonstrates leadership across Delivery functions (Plan, Build, Run)
  • Ensures the execution of solution in accordance with SoftwareONE service and project methodologies
  • Communicates effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributes to Customer and SoftwareONE business review meetings
  • Drives consultative selling activities within a customer environment
  • Frequently produces content for the service community internally and externally (community, blogs, whitepapers, ...)
Skills needed:
  • Advanced Consulting skills
  • Experience with implementation and/or pre-sales consulting for IT Asset Management solutions
  • SAM service product development and customization, including alignment with cost structure
  • Project Management experience for large and complex projects
  • Strength in data management and business process analysis
  • Set standards for documentation and reporting within engagements
  • Advise on publisher-specific true-up, license support renewal and audit defense strategies
  • Ability to understand EULAs, Terms and Conditions, and where to find specific product rights
  • Coaching (training of team members on execution of tasks)
  • Ability to adapt communication style to both detailed technical and high-level executive

What we need to see from you:
  • Required - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in services outsourcing (as customer and/or provider)
  • Experience in IT consulting or software sales experience
  • Advanced knowledge of software and licensing contract terminology and experience with audit defense (be prepared to demonstrate knowledge for at least 4 major publishers’ licensing rules)
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of IT environments and ITAM tools to be able to present a solution
  • Demonstrate full understanding of project management, processes, governance, and advanced reporting at a CIO level
  • Accreditations:
    • SAM certifications (IAITAM CSAM)
    • Tool publisher certifications – at least one preferred; successful candidate will be expected to achieve at least one within their first year
      • Snow License Manager (Atlas)
      • FlexeraOne (FlexNet Management Suite, Flexera SaaS Manager)
      • ServiceNow SAM Pro
