Construction Superintendent

As our Construction Superintendent you will oversee and coordinate all activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Coordinate subcontractors, perform quality control, conduct safety checks and provide on-site direction to prepare construction sites.

What you get to do!

• Direct activities for the field crew with construction building projects, remodel projects, concrete work and other construction projects.

• Manages contracts & on-site coordination of all phases w/construction projects.
• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting/completion times & staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools, equipment, building methods.
• Coordinates scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
• Hold preconstruction & progress meetings as project progresses.
• Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times.
• Works with and directs supervisory staff and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Assist supervisory staff to resolve complaints and grievances within workforce.
• Collaborate with supervisory and engineering staff, as well as inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials, to resolve construction problems & improve construction methods.
• Write and maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite.
• Maintain a positive relationship with client, subcontractors and office/project manager/owner; keep office informed of concerns and project needs.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure work conforms to specifications and construction schedules are adhered to.
• May direct workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.
• Perform and maintain all company documentation requirements including but not limited to daily reports, daily progress with pictures, JHA s, tool box talks, etc.

What you need!

• 5+ years of construction superintendent or similar experience
• Current driver s license with a good driving record.
• Microsoft Office experience required
