THE COMPANY:

National Firestopping Solutions (NFS), is one of America's FM 4991 / UL Approved Firestopping contractor and is currently hiring firestop installers to join our growing team! NFS services businesses throughout New England installing FM/UL Approved fire and smoke designed installations to bring their construction up to proper life safety codes.

No formal firestop training is required for this position as we will train you in the trade. Starting positions begin at $20.00/hour with rapid potential for growth.

THE POSITION:

Prior to Job:

  • Ensure proper job materials and equipment are available and loaded in the company vehicle(s) prior to leaving for the jobsite.

During the Job:

  • Confirm all joints, penetrations, and openings on the jobsite are sealed, labeled, and documented appropriately.
  • Organizing of all jobsite related materials and keeping workspaces clean of debris.
  • Confirm all equipment is cleaned appropriately and materials are properly stored away at the end of each day.
  • Assisting the field technician(s) with miscellaneous tasks on the jobsite at their discretion.

Miscellaneous:

  • Learning of firestopping installation basics.
  • Present at weekly safety meetings on the jobsite.
  • Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained and clean from debris.
  • The Field Installer’s immediate supervisor is the Field Technician (FT).

SKILLS:

  • Practical knowledge of hand tools, job sites, and construction environment (buildings, construction, etc.)
  • Ability to interact as a team player or on one's own depending on the project requirements
  • Ability to identify potential safety issues and problems
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce in a positive way
  • Self-motivated and responsible

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. throughout the day
  • Ability to, repeated and consistently, climb ladders
  • Comfortable with working at 10+ ft elevations

THE LOCATION:

Work in healthcare facilities and new construction throughout New England.

**This position travels throughout the New England Region (at least 50% travel)**
