Summary
In collaboration with CHMG Leadership and CHMG Clinical Leaders, the CHMG Clinical Process/Education Manager is responsible for the oversight of education, clinical orientation and ongoing competency assessment of all CHMG clinical staff, including Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. The Clinical Process/Education Manager serves as a nurse liaison for all CHMG practices and is responsible for defining and assisting with the implementation of standards of nursing and clinical practice within CHMG. Directly reports to Chief Administrative Officer of CHMG.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college. Master's degree in nursing or education preferred or commensurate education and experience.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
Licensure required: New Hampshire Board of Nursing active license. Valid New Hampshire Driver's license. Driving record from Department of Motor Vehicles, and proof of insurance coverage, which complies with organization and departmental Driving Policy.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical office practice or outpatient setting, and minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing leadership or education. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team as well as be a team member. Must possess knowledge specific for diverse age and multicultural population. Proficient in written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with CHMG Clinical Leaders, determines staff clinical competency through ongoing
    assessment of current practice and staff learning needs, and verifies competency of staff through testing and observation of practice. Coordinates educational and orientation/training programs for all clinical staff. Evaluates and maintains records for educational sessions covering orientation, on-the-job training, customer service, clinical education, retraining and development.
  • Serves as a leader, role model, researcher, change agent and consultant for quality educational
    opportunities and organizational activities. Has responsibility for active planning and implementation of
    standardized clinical competency program, ongoing education, mentorship, leadership and support of
    clinical leaders. Participates in the support, evaluation and development of clinical staff across CHMG.
  • Acts as a conduit for department and organizational communication.
  • Leads department and interdepartmental teams.
  • Participates in and supports departmental and organizational change. Serves as liaison/organizational
    resource and contact person for CHMG clinical practices with internal and external departments and
    programs to assist with training and clinical education including, but not limited to, clinical orientation,
    BLS, AED, flu clinic, immunization program, and FIT testing. Also facilitates education and compliance
    including, but not limited to, in-office lab testing, emergency preparedness, and evidence-based practice.
  • Continuously improves quality.
  • Cultivates respectful and responsive relationships and provides services that are delivered in a
    professional, compassionate manner: Leads by example.
  • Networks with others throughout CHMG and CH as well as professional organizations and entities outside of CHMG. Stays current with regulatory mandates, national standards, and local, regional and national trends that influence the delivery of patient care within the medical office practice setting. Responsible for assessing, communicating and advising on standards of DNV preparedness, OSHA regulations, medication safety and infection control/prevention standards across CHMG. Participates on CHMG and CH committees as assigned. Fosters effective professional relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders to understand practice and care delivery needs of CHMG practices.
  • Participates in establishing excellence in standards of care and practice.
  • Takes responsibility for individual performance goals.
