Pritchard Sports and Entertainment Group has an immediate opening for a Compliance Analyst in our Crofton, MD office. This is an on-site role that will report to the Director of Finance. The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring that all corporate processes, procedures comply with the law, standards are being met by scheduling audits, reporting on the outcome of audits where appropriate and working with the Director of Finance to make adjustments that will ensure we are compliant.

You will take responsibility for several key tasks during each month to ensure that we are fully compliant in all paperwork required to ensure that our revenue and expenses: a) stay within budget by contract; b) are input and coded correctly by the site and c) input into our company financial software to ensure the invoices are paid on time to our suppliers/vendors.

Your principal responsibility of this role is to ensure that Pritchard’s contractual responsibilities are well planned and executed (utilizing Timeline Management and other company planning procedures) to ensure delivery of contractual obligations to the complete satisfaction of our clients in conjunction with our policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review billing and expense batches input by each site to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Communicate any changes that need to be made to the site for the correction of any batch.
  • Communicate any trending issues with any site to the Finance Director and the VP Operations
  • Analyze each expense to ensure that it is within the parameters of our policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Input each corrected batch into our company financial system.
  • Follow up with any Supplier / Vendor regarding payment requirements or company requirements, i.e., current contract information, updated COI’s, correct address, company name changes, etc…
  • Develop strong work relationships with the operations team.
  • Develop, coach and mentor the Site teams to strengthen their understanding of the financial processes.
  • Prepare general correspondence, letters, and emails, to both Internal and External parties.
  • File Management and document control of all expense files
  • Provide administrative support to consultants as required.

BUDGET PERIOD

  • Provide site by site historical analysis to assist the next years budgeting process.
  • Suggest changes or needs for the following year to improve the overall process.

CROSS TRAINING

  • Learn the base functions of the payroll process as well as the accounts receivable process to provide coverage during vacations, sick time, etc…

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in administrative support, ideally in the event/venue industry, or similar service-related industry, in a client/contractor relationship.
  • Experience and proven ability in the use of Microsoft Suite of computer packages to an advanced level.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality customer service both in-house and to clients.
  • Proven ability to work to tight timetables and resolve issues in a dynamic event environment.
  • Some bookkeeping or previous accounts payable experience a plus.
