The Community Outreach Representative is Business Development's representative between the branches and the communities we serve in the west region (Louisville and Shelbyville).

They are knowledgeable in branch operations like our Financial Service Representatives (FSRs) and are able to open accounts when out in the communities. This is a field position with branch assignments.

The Community Outreach Representative will be working with all the branches in the west region. They will be required to report to Frankfort once a week for team meetings. They will be based at the Market Street Branch when not on the field.

Availability to work after hours, including evenings and weekends, is required for this role.

The duties and responsibilities of a Community Outreach Representative include, but are not limited to:

  • Building relationships and networking while at the branch and while on the field participating at events
  • Attending Chamber of Commerce activities, Business Association events, Business Development tabling events and New Member Orientations within assigned region, along with assisting in other regions as needed
  • Working actively with Business Development group to obtain leads and meet sales goals for assigned region
  • Supporting Business Partner Growth Initiative
  • Assisting in Business Partner activities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with regional managers, branch managers, and other key team members to establish and achieve Business Development and Credit Union goals
  • Coordinating Strategic Plans and Outreach Strategies with the branches
  • Planning and executing community activities
  • Working with Business Development Manager, branch managers and regional managers to determine events and activities where CCU is represented
  • Tracking all activities to determine effectiveness, based on return on investment (money and time) and community impact
  • Obtaining financial education certification from the Financial Education Department; helping with financial education presentations when needed
  • Assuming additional responsibilities, as necessary, for continued growth and professional development

Bachelors or better.

Experience

Required

Equivalent experience in sales/business development field, in lieu of education
2 years: Experience in credit union industry or financial institution, preferred
Advanced knowledge in various PC applications
