PSE's Corporate Communications team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Community Involvement Planner position!
Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Description

Works directly with the manager of Community Involvement and internal stakeholders to develop and strategically target internal/external meetings and events. Assists with the development and execution of 150+ internal/external events annually. Works with internal business partners to successfully meet company goals and objectives. Is responsible for executing full event management and/or consultation as appropriate. Oversees the management of all event details including: site selection/coordination, contract negotiations, written communications, messaging and brand, logistics, cost analysis and travel arrangements.


Must be available to field staff during off business hours (evenings and weekends) and be able to work weekends and evenings.


Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and/or external teams to support PSE’s values and priorities of for community impact and outreach depending on area of focus.
  • Establishes and shares best practices, creates consistency and value for organization.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of internal/external events.
  • Works with internal business partners to develop a strategy to successfully meet company goals and initiatives. Coordinate consistency in PSE messages, voice and brand.
  • Looks for opportunities to create events that promote and advocate corporate initiatives and products and services.
  • Responsible for managing the vendor relations and coordination, staffing internally and externally, metrics, reporting, budget for Tier l & Tier ll outreach events for the entire PSE service area as a whole. (up to 500+ events)
  • Leads, coordinates and/or assist with high profile outreach engagements and events (Tier lll) that directly support corporate initiatives.
  • Works with the Community Involvement program managers on community events and activities.
  • Prepares reporting for stakeholders.
  • Provides support in the department as needed
  • Participates on special projects as requested.
  • Performs emergency and storm duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years related working experience with outreach, marketing and/or events or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Event/marketing management experience, preferably in a corporate environment including skill incorporating corporate messaging into all events. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, irregular schedule commitments and travel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal presentation and writing skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Communications, marketing, public relations or related.
  • CMP designation or other related certifications.

The pay range for this position is $65,500.00 - $93,100.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
