Summary:

The Community Health Liaison will work to enhance Genesis PrimeCare’s image in the community by developing and promoting community relations programs that demonstrate the organization’s commitment to it's mission and the community. This position will cover multiple GPC locations including Marshall, Texarkana, and Atlanta, Travel will be required.


Essential Marketing Functions


  • Working with the community, develops programs, activities, and plans to enhance the organization’s image and visibility and increase awareness of its scope and mission.
  • Develops and maintains effective and productive relationships with relevant community members, businesses, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, governmental agencies, and other appropriate organizations/individuals.
  • Identifies opportunities for new partnerships and programs with internal and external groups.
  • Researches and recommends new fundraising events relevant to increasing brand awareness.
  • Executes strategies and programs including but not limited to annual giving, and other events as deemed necessary.
  • Represents the organization at appropriate meetings and community/industry events and activities.
  • Participates in external public relations functions.
  • Develops and maintains effective media relations in support of the organization and its programs.
  • Assists with organization involvement at community events; promotes organization to event organizers; and coordinates organization’s participation.
  • Manages the planning, and execution of organization special events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience in Marketing, clinical or community resource settings.
  • Local Knowledge about and connections to community health care and social welfare resources is desirable


Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in various settings.
  • Travel required to various locations.
  • Able to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Required to work for long periods at outdoor events during cold and hot temperatures.
  • Must be available to work some evenings and Saturdays for community events. Frequency of evenings and Saturdays varies.
