Temporary afterschool support for a student at LHS.JOB GOAL: To assist in the accomplishment of vocational and educational goals and objectives as stated in the individual educational plans of students who have developmental delays and/or autism and to help them improve their daily living skills and access to the community as part of an after-school program.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Adapts methods and materials to meet individual needs of developmentally delayed and/or autistic students in an academic/vocational/community setting.2. Delivers direct service and support to developmentally delayed and/or autistic students as prescribed in individualized educational plans.3. Helps the students to improve daily living skills and to access the community.4.

Completes progress reports in conjunction with the team for those students for whom services are being provided.5. Uses behavioral management techniques effectively.6. Provides appropriate supervision of developmentally delayed and/or autistic students to maintain their safety.7. Records data to document student progress.8.

Is available to parents and school personnel for education-related purposes outside of the education day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.9. Field of Vision(C) Observing an area that can be seen up and down or right and left when eyes are fixed on a given point.REPORTS TO: Special Education Supervisor/Pupil Services DirectorWORK ENVIRONMENT: Environmental conditions are a means of describing the physical surroundings of a worker in a specific job. This position is performed in a school, home and/or camp setting where the environmental conditions should have no effect on how the job is performed.
