AMERICAN GUARD SERVICES (AGS) IS SEEKING TO IMMEDIATELY HIRE COMMISSIONED SECURITY OFFICERS FOR THE CITY OF GALVESTON, TX.

POSITION DETAILS

STARTING RATE: $15/HR

SHIFT: ALL SHIFTS OPEN

DAYS: WEEKENDS/WEEKDAYS

CITY: GALVESTON, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• OBSERVE AND REPORT ANY IRREGULARITIES; INFORMING VIOLATORS OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
• SECURING DIFFERENT PREMISES OF THE PROPERTY BY PATROLLING ON FOOT
• STANDING GUARD IN FRONT OF PROPERTY AND/OR BUILDING
• CONTRIBUTE TO ASSIST ANY NEEDS RELATED TO SECURITY DUTIES AT LOCATION/POST
• BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON COMPUTERS, PHONE, TABLETS IN THE CASE POST HAS/REQUIRES USE OF TECHNOLOGY
• EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF PUBLIC SAFETY/SECURITY PROTOCOL
• BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TO ASSIST AND STAFF/CLIENTS ETC WITH QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS
• ABILITY TO WALK, STAND, AND SIT FOR LONG PERIODS AT A TIME

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
• No Felony Arrests/Convictions
• Clean Driver License (With No DUI's or Multiple Moving Violations)
• Previous Security Experience preferred
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

· Supervising Searches of vehicles

· Directing traffic

· Treating the traveling public in a courteous and professional manner at all times

· Communicating by radio to Staff, Clients, and Client employees

· Maintaining constant vigilance for security and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications:

· Must have a TWIC card or receipt

· Must have a Level II Non-Commission License issued by TXDPS (if working unarmed post)

· Must have a minimum of 1-year experience working as an Unarmed Security Officer

· Must be available to work 40+ hours if full-time

· Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions

· Must be able to walk and stand for a minimum of eight hours

· Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - Must have a physical copy

Additional Unarmed Details:

· Pay rate starting at $15.00 per hour
