Position Summary:

Based in Madisonville, Texas, this person is responsible for performing basic techniques for priming and painting of the trailer using a LPHV (Low-Pressure High-Volume System. The system includes a Graco brand Promix 2KE mixer paint machine, AirPro Guns, and a pressure pot that is connected to a mixer for 3-Color Stack. The Primer system involves only a pump that is located in the kitchen with the AirPro gun ready to go. Paint and Primer recirculate through heaters to maintain a 90° temperature.We are constantly on the lookout for enthusiastic people who want to be a part of a great team. Each job must be performed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner in the painting area.

Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

Main Job Duties:

• Paint Trailers as instructed
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards
• Monitor equipment and request maintenance when needed
• Willing to work 40+ hours a week
• Ability to follow instruction given both verbally and in written form
• Complete all jobs in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit
• Takes full ownership of the paint booth (cleaning/sanitation and organization)
• Applies and removes tape of various masking procedures
• Applies caulk and other sealants onto the trailer
• Hoses and paint guns are to be hung on the wall rack when not in use
• Airpro Guns must be cleaned daily
• Clean all grease and oil from surface prior to priming and painting
• Operating a forklift if required--training on site

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of paint application techniques and methods, including mixing paints
• Able to perform basic painting skills and operate paint systems
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job in a safe and alert manner at all times (job requires frequent lifting/moving up to 50 lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.)

Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability, and Thoroughness of work performed; gains the trust and respect of the shift supervisor, co-workers and other employees. Develops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change. Always work to continuously improve the operations of the department.
