Concrete & Masonry (Project Manager)
Becerra Construction, Commercial concrete & masonry subcontractor working in SW Florida.
Overview:
The individual in this position will be responsible for various types of concrete projects primarily in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Fort Myers from the initial customer call through the delivery and installation.
Job Description:

Adhere to contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure all project goals are being met.

Acquisition of most current drawings, addenda, and specifications for distribution to engineering/ drafting.

Review drawing submittals for conformance with contract requirements, determining our ability to produce and ability to construct.

Obtain shop drawing approval and resolve differences between the submitted interpretation of contract documents and reviewed requests and changes.

Maintain a running log, by job, of submittals, agreements, changes, memos, discussions, etc. properly documenting for team reference.

Ensure Production lead times are consistent with sales commitments. Act as liaison between the General Superintendent and the customer/contractor keeping both informed and aware of each other’s requirements.

Inform ALL of project schedule requirements and specifics of work required.

Assists with research and development of new products and techniques.

All other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, creativity in overcoming problems and objections, strong technical aptitude and negotiating skills.

Self-starter, accountable, driven, ethical, hard-working, personable, rejection proof, and work well independently and with others.

Experience with Project Management and ability to read civil engineering drawings and drafting plans a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products used by the company.

Experience working in Concrete & Masonry, engineering, or construction management.

Remain calm and professional during peak periods of activities.

Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 1 - 2 years of experience, or Bachelors Degree in Business or Technology with 3 - 5 years of experience, or Associates degree with 5 -7 years of experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
