Columbus Compact Program Development 2023 VISTA Job at AmeriCorps
Our VISTA project will focus on building organizational and financial capacity to foster economic development to help low-income individuals and communities. Our VISTA will work on the following: Grant Writer: identify grant, contract and sponsorship opportunities to expand Entrepreneurial Program Services (EPS) and Real Estate Development Program Services (REDPS) that help increase and maintain assets for businesses in low-income areas. Funding will support services that provide 1 to 1 counseling, technical assistance and training to small business owners and build our capacity to provide more services. Program Marketing Platform: identify additional forms of marketing to increase access of services to those that they are designed to assist; and increase visibility and awareness to our Partners and Sponsors. Revenue Development research and identify additional revenue opportunities to help create financial sustainability and the expansion of services that help individuals to increase and maintain assets. Workforce Development Feasibility research the feasibility of a Workforce Development Program in the construction industry. Our goal is to increase employment opportunities and access to trained workforce for small and major size businesses.
Member Duties : Grant Writer identify and write funding proposals to foundations, government & other grant-making organizations. Obtain and maintain contact information for contacts, conduct prospect research and maintain a calendar of submissions and deadlines. Research and identify revenue opportunities to help the sustainability of service to businesses in low-income areas to increase and maintain assets as they build wealth, wellness and legacy. Market Program Services create a social media presence and a process for managing messages. Evaluate new techniques and platforms to reach and engage across the social landscape. Maintain social media marketing calendars. Train the Team on content and social media best practices. Workforce Development Feasibility Research. Small businesses located within low-income areas are a significant provider of employment. Researching the feasibility of a program to increase employment opportunities and access to trained workforce.
