CAMS (Community Association Management Services), one of the fastest growing community association management companies in the southeastern US, is seeking a Collections Processor to work in our Wilmington, NC regional office.

The Collections Processor assists in ensuring that collection process in being executed properly and a timely manner. The successful candidate will ensure all CAMS associations are processing delinquency notices, liens, foreclosures, and other notices according to the delinquency policy. The ability to work with others (account managers, customer service, accounts receivable and attorneys) is essential.

The Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will Include

  • Ensure the collection policy for each association is configured and executed correctly.
  • Maintain Association(s) legal documents.
  • Maintain relationships with the homeowners, account managers, attorneys, and collection agencies.
  • Set up payment plans for homeowners and maintain the contracts to make sure they are executed properly and fulfilled.
  • Generate, process and send delinquent letters
  • Process liens and monitor bankruptcy/splits
  • Follow up with homeowner billing inquiries timely
  • Properly code collection related checks and process
  • Adjust status on owner accounts that that become current
  • Update delinquent accounts with most current status from the attorney’s office.
  • Respond to inquiries from Account Managers, Board Members, Community Managers or other inquiries within 1 to 2 business days.
  • Assist with providing necessary attorney status reports to community managers
  • Ensure legal charges are added to accounts and attorney invoices are processed
  • Participate in professional educational courses pertaining to collections.
  • General back up for AR, billing or Customer Service when necessary

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Familiarity/expertise with community association law, real estate law, and HOA Management

Benefits and Salary

The position is full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and pay is competitive and commensurate with experience ranging from ($16.00-18.00 hourly). This position reports to the CAMS Delinquency Manager in the Wilmington, NC office.
