The primary responsibility of the Collections Associate is to contact delinquent customers via telephone and email to resolve overdue account balances and assist in payment processing. We are a first party collector and pride ourselves on our courteous and compassionate interaction with all of our customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes payment plans and follows up to ensure agreements are fulfilled.
  • Researches and reconciles misapplied payments.
  • Follows up on collection calls with customers (external and internal).
  • Prepares delinquent accounts for placement with outside collection agencies. Reviews open A/R for all assigned accounts and prioritize collection activities to maximize cash collections.
  • Performs day-to-day activities that ensure effective account management of assigned collection accounts.
  • Performs reconciliations for assigned accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Works with customers in a proactive manner to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitors changes in customer financial status and payment patterns.
  • Audits and maintains customer accounts to make sure terms are accurate and customer profiles have current information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • 3 + years of credit/collections experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High level of organizational skills, integrity and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Have an ability to deal with customers in a friendly, courteous, timely and thorough manner.
  • The ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as be part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Due to the nature of our business a successful pre-employment background check is required.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm & Saturday 8am - 5pm
