The Store Manager is responsible for all staffing, sales, and operations. This role builds and leads a friendly, service-oriented barista team, sets a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profit, and demonstrates an engaged management style. Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the shop.
  • Leads and models the overall culture, values, mission, and spirit of the company.
  • Is knowledgeable about company ideals and principles and ensures that our story is appropriately conveyed by staff and store environment.
  • Create and provide timely schedules for the team, ensuring proper coverage according to the needs of the business while maintaining target labor costs.
  • Ensures that all standards, guidelines, and procedures are communicated and followed by staff at all times.
  • Models and maintains all rules and policies and health and safety standards.
  • Ensures store appearance is maintained at all times, including seating area, condiment bar, and FOH/BOH.
  • Maintains, models and coaches on the speed of service and organizes employees to maintain the most efficient methods for serving customers
  • Hire and onboard new staff.
  • Train employees on drink preparation, shop procedures, and proper use of coffee equipment.
  • Creates, adjusts, and implements training plans for new employees.
  • Ensures full understanding and regularly observes and coaches all staff on their performance, celebrating successes as well as discussing and offering suggestions if more feedback is needed.
  • Perform employee reviews and conduct ongoing coaching and training sessions to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Ensure consistency and implement quality control measures.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with vendors to order supplies as needed.
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences.
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation measures are met; ensure proper food handling and correct labeling/storage.
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty.
  • Ensures proper equipment functionality and performs or enforces completion of regular equipment maintenance.
  • Utilizes resources and available information to troubleshoot when equipment errors occur; proactive in avoiding issues, but otherwise responding in a timely fashion if they occur.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of management experience required.
  • 1-2 years of Food & Beverage experience required.
  • 1-2 years of high-volume drive-thru experience preferred.
  • Previous Barista experience is a plus.
  • Availability to work any schedule is required, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Customer service focus and a sense of urgency are a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
