CO MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

In partnership with the Store Manager, cultivate an inclusive culture that provides equitable opportunities and drives Associate and Customer engagement. Lead and direct activities required to achieve all store goals which includes financial objectives, Customer service, people management, operational controls, asset protection and safety, and merchandise presentation.

BUSINESS DIRECTION/REVENUE GENERATION

  • Drives business strategy to achieve quantifiable performance results, grow sales and profits, and maximize opportunities to generate additional store volume/revenue.
  • Identifies, understands, and responds to business trends as needed to maximize results and keep team on

track to goals.

  • Maximizes daily business by proactively managing team to embrace brand service standards while effectively performing Store Leadership responsibilities.
  • Models and directs customer service efforts that are consistent with Brand standards; coaches Associates on Customer interactions to increase transactions, capture Customer opportunities and achieve excellent Customer service.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Understands, models, and ensures associate commitment to Brand culture, policies and procedures and holds Associates responsible for their actions.
  • Assists in the recruitment, selection, hiring, and retention of diverse talent.
  • Participates in delivering an engaging, personalized onboarding experience using Brand tools that positions Associates for excellence in role and career progression.
  • Supports and fosters a team that is diverse and inclusive; treats others fairly and with respect, valuing differences; builds relationships based on an individual approach.
  • Fosters a Customer-focused team environment by anticipating external and internal Customer needs to drive store volume.
  • Holds self and Associates accountable for achieving goals; proactively provides timely feedback; rewards and recognizes Associate achievement to drive retention and engagement.
  • Shares information, requests input, and communicates clearly and in an accessible manner with all levels to foster continuous learning.
  • Adheres to and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws at all times.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Prioritizes and leads execution of tasks within designated timeframes using tools and resources to drive a high level of productivity.
  • Adjusts schedules as needed to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Reports to work as scheduled; records all time worked accurately by using Brand’s Time and Attendance system; remains flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Supports compliance with Asset Protection practices to protect company assets and ensure associate and customer safety. Accountable for shrink results and safety awareness.
  • Drives operational excellence and consistently executes Brand’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists in managing controllable expenses.

PRODUCT/BRAND MANAGEMENT

  • Supports the execution of visual merchandising and product placement updates; maintains visual expectations as defined by Brand’s visual merchandising standards.
  • Uses product knowledge tools to execute directives and interpret Store Sets.
  • Integrates strategic activity on the floor.
  • Understands and can clearly articulate Brand positioning and recognizes Brand’s competitors within the retail landscape.
  • Educates associates on marketing initiatives, product placement, lifestyle concepts, and product knowledge.
  • Embraces fashion, understands current market trends and is able to articulate them using Brand interpretations in every customer interaction. Represents Brand by adhering to Brand dress code guidelines.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to recruit, select, develop, and retain full store team and hold individuals accountable for performance.
  • Ability to foster team commitment and create a positive, inclusive working environment.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge and motivate both Management and Associates.
  • Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that the customer remains the top priority.
  • Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow through on all store activities with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of visual standards and techniques and ability to implement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to get the job done.
  • Understanding of key business metrics.
  • Ability to take initiative in making decisions on a timely/urgent basis.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly and a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in the retail industry preferred.
  • Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, office, lift up to 30 lbs, and retrieve and stock merchandise with or without a reasonable accommodation.
