Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Software Engineer will develop software to efficiently and uniquely process data stored in HADOOP Distributed File Systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7 years + BS in (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar) or 12 years + with no degree

  • Operational knowledge of HDFS architectures and data structures

  • Ability to augment existing/exemplar software as to port to HDFS environment

  • Linux proficiency

  • HADOOP, MapReduce, Spark, etc., CloudDev certification a plus.

  • Experience working with Open-Source Products

  • Python, and/or scripting languages

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

  • Working with Data

  • Move about freely in a laboratory setting

  • Repetitive Motions
