Job Description:

Element2 Group's valued client is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to produce various aerospace products. Machinists perform all operations relating to the manufacturing of complex, tight tolerance aerospace components produced in multiple manufacturing cells. Setup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Select and execute programs on a DMG 5 axis Mill/Turn Machine
• Accurately change drills, end mills, and inserts to keep production going.
• Inspect Parts dimensionally and visually before unloading and loading parts.
• Undertake all aspects of CNC machine operation, including troubleshooting and maintenance, clean and maintain the machine and tools.
• Read blueprints, drawings, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machine.
• Adjust machine offsets to keep parts in tolerance.
• Confer with supervisors, programmers and engineers to resolve machining problems or help improve process.
• Set up and operate 5 axis mill/turn machines to produce first piece
• Uses overhead cranes and/or forklift to move parts and fixtures.

New hires will be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus after completing 90 days of employment with the company!

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required. Technical school or some college a plus.
• Experience
• Minimum 3 years of related CNC Lathe and Milling machining experience with at least two (2) years experience with operating 5-Axis machines.
• Strongly Preferred
• Work experience with Siemens 840D.
• Work experience with tool pre-setter and heat shrink tooling.
• Experience turning and milling Inconel
