Purpose Statement

Globally responsible and accountable for providing product and related procedural training to Regional Clinical Trainers (RCTs), Field Sales Trainers (FSTs), sales representatives, clinical specialists (CSs) and managers focusing on BSC products and procedures. Travels routinely to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness by Sales Training Team. Supports training of field with launch of new and complex product lines. This role will support all aspects of training, including onboarding, pre-course training, initial sales training and post/advanced training. The position involves participating in sales training at the home offices, Marlborough and Minnetonka, in the field, and virtually as necessary. Will also be responsible for providing input and feedback for the development & maintenance of training materials with the added responsibility of working with relevant partners outside the US to ensure training is consistency.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and conduct training sessions with sales representatives emphasizing assigned products and related procedures. Some onsite/office-based training as well as field-based training involves classroom style teaching methods, lab demonstrations, conduct assessments, and reporting on training performance. This will also include training distributers, regional clinical trainers and field sales trainers internationally.
  • Collaborate with Sales Training Managers (STMs), Manager of Sales Training (MST) and Medical Education on content maintenance ensuring the most recent, viable information is delivered to the Field Selling Organization (FSO)
  • Coordinate with Clinical Specialist, RCTs, FSTs and STMs to ensure all clinical competencies are met across all Urology franchises.
  • Continuous communication and development of the RCTs and Clinical Specialist.
  • Work with team to determine clinical training needs within assigned regions. Help team plan, design and implement focused training courses for the sales force within that region that address training needs. In conjunction with sales management, ensure proper training compliance and certification.
  • Will play a key role in working with international partners to create appropriate regionally relevant training which meets the need of this market.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business discipline or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 3- 5 years successful clinical or clinical sales experience, documented success and demonstrated aptitude in clinical excellence.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants
  • Strong project management experience and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal commination skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep big projects on track.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and collaboration skills.
  • Work independently and ability to influence without authority to work as a team.
  • Ability to travel ~30-40% .
