Clinical Supervisor

One (1) Full-Time Hourly/Non Exempt/Non-Licensed or Salaried/Exempt/Licensed: $76,440 - $89,544 DOE


Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the following special competencies.

  • Experience 2 years Post CA BBS Licensure Direct Service ($1.00 per hour)
  • Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)
  • Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)
  • Crisis – 5150 Certified ($2.00 per hour)

The position of Clinical Supervisor is full-time, based on a 40 hour week, which may include some on-call, evenings, and weekends. This position is a licensed therapist who provides clinical services and mental health support to both guests and peer staff as needed within our crisis programs. The Clinical Supervisor partners with the Clinical Case Manager to train and develop peer staff, as well as evaluate guests in a variety of capacities including but not limited to: greeting, assessing and evaluating guests, providing individual care to guests according to BBS guidelines, de-escalating and debriefing in a capacity that promotes safety and appropriate leadership within an intentional peer support (IPS) model. Position will be certified to write and execute 5150 documentation, so experience in this area is advantageous. Understanding Medi-Cal regulations preferred. Must have flexible schedule, and willing to work evenings and weekends, and on-call requirements. Must be willing and able to respond to crisis situations that could occur within various time frames. Supports Trauma Informed Care throughout the program setting, developing supervisors and staff skills to intervene and support Crisis clients. Responsible for interview, supervision and evaluation of staff, program and facility Program Quality Improvement (PQI). Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and all other regulatory agency requirements. This position is meant to support both guests and staff working within the crisis programs. Position will receive BBS supervision as needed. Bilingual preferred but not required.


Education and/or Experience:

Master’s degree in Social Work, BBS Licensed or BBS licensed intern (LCSW, MFT, AMFT) preferred.

  • Experience will be considered in place of some educational requirements: Up to (2) two years of verified job-related experience can be provided by the applicant, that shows necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities (“KSA”) to be able to perform the functions of the advertised position proficiently.
  • Must have 2 years management or supervisory experience and have 2+ years working in a mental health setting. Applicant must provide written verification of ALL relevant job related experience for consideration upon competition of agency application and prior to first interview.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, clear background check w/DOJ, CAC, FBI, CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.


Employment in the Behavioral Health Services require proof of Covid-19 vaccination or exemption per California Public Health Officer. All RCS employees are required to either have documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a Religious or Medical Exemption on file.
