The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator will work on NIH-funded studies focused on long-term clinical outcomes in HIV. In this role, the Clinical Research Coordinator will work with other study team members to support day-to-day recruitment performance of study procedures, as well as regulatory and data management.
Responsibilities
- Recruit participants from different sites: obtain in-person informed consent, administer questionnaires, perform study evaluations (i.e., measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure).
- Collect biospecimens (i.e., blood, saliva, urine, stool), process biospecimens, enter data and help to maintain the study database.
- Follow research protocols and determine data management requirements for each participant enrolled.
- Interact with the regulatory office to maintain regulatory documents and administrative files for each protocol.
- Connect with participants to build rapport for long-term commitment to and engagement with all members of the research programs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years related experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to relate to diverse populations with compassion, discretion, and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Related experience in clinical or translational research
- Spanish language skills
Other Requirements
- Participation in medical surveillance program
- Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
- Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
- Wear N-95 respirator
- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
