JOB DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Informatics Program Manager will manage end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of projects making up a program, from the initial kickoff to coordinating major launch milestones to maintaining and enhancing program performance over time. The role will guide clients through key decisions, communicate and coordinate activities internally and across departments. The job can be responsible for developing and managing a particular enterprise function, developing strategies (including analysis, new program ideas, and communications), and overseeing a program budget. In addition, the job may serve as a liaison between the enterprise program area of responsibility and local entities.

The Clinical Informatics Program Manager will utilize various clinical resources to establish Enterprise oral health measures and goals, recommend population health improvement targets and serve as program lead of a cross-departmental collaborative team to achieve the goal of improved patient health.

This is an individual contributor role and does not have direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works in partnership with cross-functional teams to create data-informed objectives and strategies aligned with the Enterprise Quality Program and aimed to drive improved patient health outcomes
  • Responsible for forming and leading collaborative cohorts/committees that will inform strategic plans, shape policy and identify interdependencies between functions across the enterprise including Claims, Sales, Underwriting & Actuarial Services, Utilization Management, and others
  • Builds and monitors quality of care and service outcome metrics, including routine monitoring of cross-collaborative health outcomes improvements
  • Supports the evaluation and recommendation of Clinical Quality metrics; develops mechanisms for monitoring program development and performance
  • Uses influence to build alignment, create partnerships, and develop strategic and project plans in collaboration with Project Managers and other roles to advance prioritized programs and initiatives within the Quality program portfolio
  • Responsible for developing and producing project/program reports for various audiences, including executive summary reports and dashboards for monitoring and reporting quality program performance and outcomes
  • Communicates project/program plans, status, and results - including mitigation strategies - to senior level management
  • Advocates for the business by providing first class service; lends subject matter expertise and knowledge management to project teams and stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Champions financial management, program management, change management process, and informal leadership throughout initiatives
  • Develops and manages program operating budget
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ experience w/Bachelor's Degree
  • Clinical Dentistry knowledge, experience in quality measurement and population health preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills using innovative thinking
  • Knowledge of insurance industry, health improvement program, dental terminology, CDT, SnoMED, and ICD-10
  • Functional understanding of CPT, LOINC and HCPCS
  • Strong informal leadership skills with the ability to influence effectively and to train and mentor others
  • Ability to successfully communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiating skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business conditions
  • Ability to identify and analyze trends to anticipate business needs
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and virtual presentation skills (Zoom or Teams)
  • DDS - Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS or DMD) preferred

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $105,000 - $226,100
