CLINICAL DIRECTOR

New Haven Residential Treatment Center is seeking a Full-Time Masters or Doctorate Level Therapist to fill a Clinical Director role in the Clinical Department.

  • Our company is striving to bring adolescent depression, anxiety, and suicide to all-time lows by 2028.
  • Our program serves female adolescents ages 14-18. Students live in a family style residence where community and interpersonal relationships are encouraged. As a primary therapist and Clinical Director, you would be responsible for determining the best mitigating methods for the restoration of health.
  • Our 6 houses spread across our two beautiful campuses become part of the expanded classroom that consists of biking, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and other activities. At New Haven we invite and encourage family participation in many of our scheduled outings throughout the year that includes our family weekends and family camping trips to Green River and Moab.
  • As a Clinical Director, you will be supported by an experienced Clinical Team, Executive Director, Administrative Team, and Residential Staff focused on the mission to facilitate lasting positive change for young people and their families.

Responsibilities:
Opportunities in this position include Individual, Family, and Group therapy, as well as Clinical Leadership, Supervision and Oversight. Strong applicants will possess an affinity for Relational, Experiential and Systemic modalities. Applicants must possess skills in discernment, crisis intervention, leadership, therapeutic theory, clinical intervention, teaching/modeling techniques. Planning, implementing, guiding and adjusting a course of treatment are required. Applicants must be capable of building influential relationships and establishing appropriate boundaries with team members and client families. Applicants must have the ability to assess and interpret student behavior, with the ability to make critical decisions based on Company Policies and input from multiple departments. New Haven employs a Team Delivery Model of treatment, engaging representatives from Clinical, Residential, Recreational Therapy, Nursing, and Academics in our Treatment Team. Our clinical program is unique with a rich learning and supportive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
  • Masters/Doctorate in MSW, CSW, LCSW, CMHC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed in the State of Utah
  • Two years working as a licensed therapist
  • One year working in a residential setting
  • Experience providing clinical oversight and/or leadership in a Team Setting
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Able to work with a combined team of clinical and residential staff
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Experience in providing systemically focused treatment with youth
  • Ability to create positive relationship
  • Professional documentation and charting skills

  • Signing Bonus: $3000 at time of hire. An additional $2,000 after 6 months of completion, and $2,000 at 1 year of completion for external candidates only.
