Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 40 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center partners with Neighborhood Health Association to provide primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Clinical Crisis Coordinator to provide supervision to employees on designated shift. Clinical responsibilities include on-call and clinical direction while on site. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, this position will meet with clients and treatment team as clinically indicated, onsite and in the community.

Essential Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Manage each referral for appropriateness and services needed, including outreach efforts in the natural environment.
  • Provides clinical supervision and direction to staff on designated shift.
  • Ensures crisis staff are responsive and sensitive to community requests for services within their designated shift.
  • Assesses and appraises risk from both clinical (i.e., risk of harm to self or other) and administrative (i.e., risk of negative outcome).
  • Consults with clinical leadership as needed to assist in risk management and clinical dispositions.
  • Assesses potentially dangerous situations and takes appropriate precautionary measures to assure client/worker safety.
  • Performs appropriate clinical interventions and/or brief treatment around well-defined issues that can be dealt with in a specific time frame. Service may be required to be rendered at any site, or in the community.
  • Collaboratively works with other treatment providers, agencies and agency staff to ensure crisis services are deployed.
  • Ensures referrals to hospitals, counseling/treatment agencies, community support providers, other specialized services, etc. are based on client’s level of care, DSM criteria, economic and cultural background.
  • Maintains timely and complete documentation of services and activities, which meet the standards of Netcare and accrediting agencies.
  • Uses the Trauma Informed Care approach to work collaboratively with clients and other team members (internal and external) to help support clients in their treatment and recovery.

Work Hours: 11pm-7am M-F, rotating weekends on call and rotating holidays on call

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree from clinical counseling program or BA with equivalent job experience.
  • LSW or LPC required. LISW/LPCC preferred.
  • Crisis or inpatient experience (preferred).
  • Must become a Health Officer within 90 days of placement into position.
