Integral Federal is actively looking to hire a Citrix and Service Desk Engineer to support a government client located in Vienna, VA. The overall scope of this work will be to provide systems administration and Citrix support within a SCIF and to the overall agency.
Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an active Department of Defense TOP SECRET clearance with SCI ELIGIBILITY (no interim adjudications will be accepted). Preferred clearance is Department of Treasury TS/SCI.
Responsibilities:
- Citrix and Service Desk Engineer will support overall operations and maintenance of the system, including:
- Defined user groups
- Thin client support
- Citrix image management
- The customer employs an on-premise Citrix environment supporting end-user remote access and telework. They are finalizing the build of a new SCIF, which you will be responsible for the Citrix SCIF architecture, implementation, and maintenance.
- Highly desirable skills and knowledge would include Citrix product support, best practice implementations, thin-/zero-client environments, virtual desktop infrastructure builds/deployments and underlying server, storage, networking technologies.
- Requires project management skills to independently organize work, track progress and execute tasks in an Agile manner.
- Team member shall be flexible in working across IT disciplines and closely coordinate with the IT Service Desk to meet end-user requirements and troubleshooting problems when resourcing requires such assistance.
- Responsibilities include:
- Implementation and operations and maintenance of the system with customer support of complex Citrix projects.
- Analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems on physical and virtual infrastructure platforms.
- Recommends, implements and document corrective solutions and preventative measures.
- Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technology solutions.
- Document policies, standards and knowledgebase articles.
- Provide operational and Tier 2 and Tier 3 customer support for the Citrix environment, including STIGs.
- Evaluate, plan and integrate technical infrastructure solutions with a secure infrastructure environment, production stability, and performance.
- Assist with the rollout of large projects, including installing computers, networking equipment, server and storage solutions and more.
Required:
At least 3-5 years of virtual desktop infrastructure product support.- At least 3-5 years planning and supporting desktop virtualization systems.
- At least 3-5 years of virtualization systems optimizations and performance tuning.
- At least 3-5 years of system and data backup experience.
- At least 3 years of configuration and documentation management.
- At least 3 years of service provider coordination.
- Strong experience applying Citrix STIGs.
- Strong experience with Citrix, Nutanix, and Windows current versions.
- Sound knowledge of Hypervisors, VMWare vSphere, MS Hyper-V and Citrix XenServer.
- Sound knowledge of migrations and upgrades.
- Sound knowledge of Provisioning services and virtualizing Citrix Servers.
- Sound knowledge of physical and logical networking to include Application Virtualization technologies (MS App-V).
- Previous experience in working in complex infrastructure projects.
- **Having hands on knowledge of Citrix ADC would be a plus.
