Job duties:
  • The Child Care Licensing Policy Analyst ensures effective and efficient communication skills to develop policy and procedure manuals for Child Care Licensing and the Division of Early Care and Education through planning for the program review process, direction of special projects, direction and guidance for other Child Care services staff on program issues, technical assistance and consultation, reports, evaluations and analysis of service areas, and design and implementation of monitoring instruments. Policy writing is a crucial part of this position.

  • Provides guidance for the developing and maintenance of policy and procedure manuals for Child Care Licensing (CCL). Conducts reviews of services providers and reconciling all applicable services standards against federal and state laws. Serves as liaison for updates and revisions of manuals within CCL such as policy manual, the procedures manual, and the Division's Emergency Disaster Plan. Prepares management reports to provide feedback and recommendations based on provider problem areas that need addressing through policy and procedure.

  • Conducts special projects as assigned to enhance statewide services delivery system for providers and prepares reports on assigned projects. Serves as admin support to various committees as needed which includes regulation development.

  • Provides technical assistance, to interpret policies and program requirements; prepares policy clarifications and develops resolutions to identified problems and needs. Coordinates with other state agencies, other regional and local entities to provide needed client services and to maintain effective agency relationships. Assists with the responses to legislative, media, and FOIA requests for information and review the information against the CCL Laws and Regulations.

  • Assists with conducting planning activities to set priorities, goals, and objectives for the program review process; assists with revisions to standardized monitoring instruments for childcare services; analyzes existing monitoring tools, policies and procedures, develops instruments, field tests and analyzes results.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty or services as directed.

Agency Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.

A Master's Degree and two (2) year of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
