Summary

Our Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center is in a prime position: we have survived this crazy year and have grown incredibly quickly in enrollment throughout! We need someone to come help us establish our "new normal", whatever that will look like in this coming season. The culture we desire to maintain here is one where children feel loved and valued and our team can use our proprietary curriculum to develop character in these kiddos that will grow them into world-changers! Our heart’s desire is to strengthen families and build up our community through the relationships we make and through the hospitality we pour out of our walls. If this is something you’re interested in and you have the skills necessary, come on board and help us lead and train our team! You’ll be handed the reins to run the day-to-day and overall operations of our facility, ensuring we’re compliant with all local, state and federal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience as Center Director in a licensed childcare center
  • Must meet requirements for a Texas State License as a Center Director, preferably with a non-renewable certificate
  • Current CPR and First-Aid Certifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Budget and financial acumen with revenue-generation experience preferred
  • A love for children and desire to positively impact families in the community
  • A positive attitude and the sprinkle of spunk needed to make things happen

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop and inspire a team
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to independently analyze situations to provide positive solutions with parents, children and staff
  • Able to use computers/technology/social media as required by the Center
  • A willingness to work in any classroom as needed to meet the needs of the Center
  • Must be able to assume lower postures to interact with children; may be required to lift more than 40 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to work various days and hours to ensure the Center is managed and operated according to Owner, Licensing and Home Office standards
  • Able to maintain perspective in stressful situations
  • Able to minister to the hearts of children, beyond their behavior and their quirks
  • Able to help create an environment where team members work hard but have a great time doing it!

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Ensure center compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Oversee all aspects of center operations, including classroom, facility, and staff management
  • Maximize enrollment (expectations set by Owner)
  • Manage correct implementation of all administrative duties and procedures as listed in the Quality Assurance guidelines set by Home Office
  • Manage staff of the center, including classroom allocation, overtime hours, training and hiring needs
  • Establish strong working relationship with state and local licensing authorities
  • Develop marketing strategies to maximize enrollment; implement community-based marketing efforts and other marketing methods in accordance with Quality Assurance standards set by Home Office
  • Represent Center to public, community, parents, visitors, and staff with professionalism and integrity at all times
  • Maintain appropriate and timely communication with parents, staff, and children while respecting confidentiality
  • Implement procedures necessary for continual compliance and improvement
  • Meet licensing trainer requirements and provide appropriate monthly training to staff with relevant topics approved by Home Office and/or Owner
  • Duties may change; additional duties may be assigned by Owner or Home Office

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
