Role:

Directs the technical strategy and vision to support the Credit Union growth objectives and ensuring service delivery excellence to new and existing members. Manages the overall technology roadmap to drive organizational success and member usage by making 'banking easier'.

Reporting options/location:

Hybrid/Remote option- Commuting or relocation may be necessary as on site reporting to the main office in Sidney NY as needed is an expectation. Residency within our Credit Union Field of Membership (FOM) is preferred. FOM counties in NY include: Delaware, Otsego,Chenango,Hamilton,Fulton,Montgomery,Herkimer,Oneida,Madison,Onondaga,Schoharie,Cortland, Essex

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading the following departments: Information Technology, Operations, and R&D and Innovation. This includes budgeting, performance monitoring, reporting, planning, priority setting, and staff management.

Identifies, develops, and implements short-term and long-range vision/strategies to address the infrastructure and digital transformation needs of the Credit Union and its members. Includes all systems and network solutions, member service experience, new product development and implementations, and process excellence enhancements.

Develops and maintains effective and productive working relationships with all departments, peers, management team, volunteers, and vendors. Active member of management team and serves on multiple committees.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

Optimize systems uptime and minimize service disruptions based on internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

Execute upon corporate project plan.

Manage departmental SLA performance.

Provide divisional leadership, coaching, and mentoring to ensure employee development and success. This includes ongoing training and performance monitoring.

To establish and maintain an effective relationship with all departments, peers, management, volunteers, and vendors.

Seeking out current and future technology that will drive the company’s success.

To implement action plans to position the Credit Union for the future and ensure relevancy with membership.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience Ten years to fifteen years of similar or related experience

Education (1) A master's degree, or (2) a bachelor's degree plus professional certification or (3) significant industry experience.

Interpersonal Skills Possesses excellent communication, presentation, and team building skills. Works collaboratively across multiple departments or divisions. Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.

Other Skills:

Previous leadership and successful strategy execution required.

Previous financial institution and Keystone software experience preferred.

Must have excellent resource management, project planning, and communication skills.

Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $144,800.00 - $241,300.00 per year
