Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure assets are maintained to achieve maximum useful life in terms of serviceability and appearance.
• To provide effective cost controls within the department.
• Ensure an aggressive guest-first approach among team members and provide a friendly guest contact experience.
• Maintain a professional and ethical image for the Maintenance Department.
• Lead the Safety and Security effort at the property.
• Provide needed input in the development of and provide supervision of capital projects.

Qualifications:

• Chief Engineer experience in a hotel preferred or Chief Engineer of a commercial building, including specific experience in the preventative maintenance program
• Journeyperson experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC trade
• Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
• Strong interpersonal/leadership skills and professional caring approach towards employees.
• "Do it now" approach.
