Under direction of the Assistant Registrar of Voters, the Chief Deputy assists with planning, organizing, and directing the conduct of all Primary, General and Special elections. The Chief Deputy Registrar of Voters classification is distinguished from the Assistant Registrar of Voters classification due to the responsibility to provide administrative guidance, daily direction to division activities, and administering departmental policies and procedures. The Chief Deputy has the opportunity to interact with the public, campaign staff and county employees to discuss the election process and the upcoming rules and requirements for fair and safe elections in the County of Riverside.
The Chief Deputy Registrar of Voters is a deputy director level classification and will provide management assistance and direction in the administration, supervision, and certification of all elections conducted by the County Registrar of Voters Department.
