KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Honeywell Connected Enterprise and Sparta Systems are transforming Honeywell into a software industrial leader. This has never been done at this scale before. This is an existential mission for Honeywell and has the full support and backing of the Honeywell Board, CEO, and senior leadership team. Our TrackWise® and TrackWise Digital® product offering is growing at blitzscale, and this role supports and partners with the Sparta Systems CEO to execute on the financial aspects of this expansion. As such, you will act as a virtual COO to the organization, co-owning the P&L, influencing long-term strategy and product roadmap, and partnering with our commercial leaders on forecasting and complex deals and partnerships, whilst building the financial capabilities & expertise of a team of 8 and a P&L of $150M. You will also be involved in key customer conversations, offerings and market analyses, as well as strategically participate in M&A due diligence and financial integration activities.
Partner with business CEO and functional leaders to drive financial results
Provide leadership to a team of commercial finance professionals
Lead financial planning processes: forecasting, annual operating plan, strategic plan
Manage financial risks and opportunities
Evaluate business cases and commercial proposals
Provide in-depth analysis of financials
Drive excellence in modern software pricing and COGS management
Apply expertise in SaaS and cloud services business models
Implement key strategic decisions to achieve committed performance
Plan and execute buy-side M&A integrations
Bring global acumen and execution experience to support business expansion in the US, EMEA, APAC, LATAM

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Significant FP&A, P&L experience within a business
Enterprise software finance experience (SaaS, cloud services)
Track record of achievement and demonstrated ability to scale, both the business and the Finance function
Proven track record of people management and development; has successfully developed a leadership bench for succession purposes
Entrepreneurial, agile, resilient mindset
“Best in class” communication and influencing skills
Comfortable acting as an organization’s COO in the CFO capacity
M&A due diligence, integration & transformation experience
A change agent with a high degree of personal accountability
Self-motivated, driving business initiatives
Ability to demonstrate strong financial integrity, focus on controls and forecast accuracy
Strong technical knowledge of finance systems
Self-motivated, driving business initiatives
Demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations and in global environments
Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions to business problems without supervision
Strong analytical & problems solving skills
Strong ability to partner across business functions and business units, build a trust network
Finance Acumen. Direct experience from a large-scale segment FP&A or CFO role in a multinational environment is essential. The CFO will have a track record of success at cultivating meaningful relationships within a global finance organization. Analytical finance skills, including the ability to develop analyses, performance measures and incentives that drive efficient operations, are highly important. The successful candidate should be highly proficient in spotting trends and interpreting data. Looks at data from different angles and asks the right questions to gain additional insights.
Business Partner. A strong commercial and functional orientation and a proven ability to partner with non-finance teams to drive and monitor performance and to develop strategic plans. He or she will be a strategic leader who can impact and change strategy beyond the finance area. Possesses change agility and mobilizes others in the organization to initiate change. Considers all factors to form the best overall solution for the company.
Execution and Conviction. Has well supported views and appropriately advocates while being open to ideas of others. Takes personal responsibility to ensure full execution.
Sets the Tone. Understands that employees look to Finance for indications of business health and provides a realistic, but optimistic view. Possesses the self-awareness to monitor and adjust the signals sent to the organization (mood, demeanor, the way people are treated) to have a positive impact.
