Location: Hillsborough County Nursing Home
Department: Recreation/Activities
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week. Rotating weekends.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Pay Grade: 8
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Activities the incumbent will plan, coordinate and implement treatment services for residents as well as evaluating and documenting resident’s progress for a given caseload and participates in interdisciplinary care conferences to monitor existing treatment plans.
General Responsibilities:
The incumbent will conduct individualized, comprehensive assessments of residents to determine a course of action and establish appropriate treatment goals. They will plan and develop the individualized treatment plan and then implement the plan using appropriate intervention strategies to restore or rehabilitate the resident to improve functioning and independence as well as reduce or eliminate the effects of illness or disability. They will provide consultation services to other healthcare professionals and will oversee paraprofessional and technical personnel, students and volunteers.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors’ degree required. Masters’ degree preferred.
· Successful completion of exam through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
· Authorization to use the initials CTRS
