Access Family Pharmacy has an open position for a compounding technician. New hires will be appropriately trained on USP 795 and be responsible for making drug preparations based on patient specific prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment when in the lab. Shoe covers, masks, disposable gown, hair covering and more.

Compounding staff members will demonstrate the ability to work as a team member to produce quality preparations. The technician will be responsible for compounding preparations they have been trained on under direct supervision of pharmacist. Personnel will be responsible for making compounds for the day as directed, maintaining inventory and supply in the compounding area, and cleaning the compounding area.

Minimum qualifications: Certified Pharmacy technician with compounding experience will be preferred. Must be able pass observational audits and written exams. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Physical requirements: Compounding requires the employee to stand most of the day and requires bending, lifting, and manual dexterity.

Appearance: Must maintain clean and professional appearance. Scrubs are provided by the company. Personnel must also adhere to appropriate safety garb policy when compounding.

Positions are full-time or part-time, M-F, with alternating Saturdays (just 9am to 2pm) required. It is beneficial for you to possess competent chemistry and mathematical skills, have a minimum of 1 year experience, and you must be able to pass previous employment and criminal background checks as well as drug screening.
