WHAT HOME HELPERS REQUIRES OF YOU:

- 18 years of Age

WHAT YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

- Use Scheduling App to Clock In/Out of Shifts

- Reporting to All Shifts on Time

- Follow Client Care Plans

- Document Client Activity

- Medication Reminders

- Meal Planning & Preparation

- Housekeeping & Laundry

- Assisting w/ Bathing, Dressing, & Grooming

- Assisting w/ Ambulation, Transferring, & Positioning

- Transporting Clients to Appointments/Errands

- Transporting Clients to Outings/Social Events

- Assisting w/ Communication, Writing, & Daily Life Tasks

- Supervision & Companionship

WHAT TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

- Training is specific to our Agency

-Hands on Training with our Clients

-Computer Based Training specific to: Alzheimer's/Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Medication Assistance, Abuse, and Fraud, as well as, several new hire Training Modules through our WellSky Caregiving App

-Continued Education by completing WellSky Training Modules that are assigned to all caregivers on a monthly basis

WHAT SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE?

- Currently only daytime and evening shifts are available

- Our earliest daytime shift starts at 7 AM

- Our latest evening shift ends by 8:30 PM

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

Home Helpers is an in-home care agency, which means your primary place of work will be the client’s home or apartment. Our Bismarck office, cares for clients living in Bismarck, Mandan, and the surrounding rural areas.

While working in a client's home may be a more relaxed work environment than a facility, we encourage applicants to consider the added responsibility of reporting to multiple work locations, possibly during one work day.

WHEN WILL YOU BEGIN WORK?

At Home Helpers, we do our very best to get new employees working their ideal schedule as quickly as possible, but this can take up to a month as it is heavily dependent on the new caregiver's experience level, and not only what their specific training needs might be but how diligent they are at completing their initial training.

A new caregiver who has no experience caregiving will be required to complete all training before working independently with a client. If management feels new caregivers with previous home care experience are skilled enough, they may be permitted to complete their computer based training within 60 days, while they do hands on training with a senior caregiver and begin seeing clients on their own.
